Indian Institute of Astrophysics Job Eligibility Details : 

Educational Qualification : 

1. Mechanical Assistant – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 year full time course) with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a Govt. recognized Institution.
   Experience : Minimum five years of work experience in an Industry/Public
   Sector/Government Establishment/Scientific Laboratory/Institution, involving work in
   fabrication, handling/operating machines in a machine shop like lathes, Milling Machine, Surface grinding etc.
   Desirable : Knowledge of handling Scientific Instruments, Maintenance, and
   service of AC plants/equipment, lifts, clean rooms etc.

Age Limit :

1. Mechanical Assistant – 32 years.

Salary Details :

1. Mechanical Assistant – VII CPC Pay Matrix Level-5 Pay Range Rs.29200-92300
   (VI CPC PB-2, GP Rs. 2800).
